And what about failure that results from a value that you hold on to, like integrity or honesty or sacrifice?
In this case, if Yasmine were to measure her value or worth based on her achievement, then she surely is a failure in her own eyes, and in the eyes of society.
But what people don’t know about Yasmine is that she never graduated because she decided to stay with her mother after her health declined.
Yasmine failed because of her sacrifice for her mother. So what happens to her value now?
Look at what the Bible says about the price that was paid for you.
“For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.” (1 Peter 1:18-19)
“He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all — how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?” (Romans 8:32)
You are known and loved by God, and have an indescribable worth in His eyes, not related to what you achieve, but to what He has done for you.
