My Friends and Family
The social level of the people I be-friend increases my worth.
What people think about me determines my identity.
For example, your father tells you how proud he is of you, but your friend, who is insecure or jealous, may criticize you.
Do you want to live your life constantly worried about people’s opinion of you?
Imagine waking up every morning without knowing your worth, until you gather the opinions of people around you.
So, If your value is not derived from those around you, then where does your real value come from?
Most of us agree that the builder of the house knows its value very well.
Who knows the value of a painting more than the artist who painted it?
So it may be wise to look at what your Creator says about your worth. God said, “The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” (1 Samuel 16: 7)
Listen to what God says about you when you choose to follow Him and when you put your trust in Him.
“But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.” (Ephesians 2: 4-6)
Since the beginning of time, you are His child. Your value is great and constant, and that will never change.
